1. Hike to the top of Mt. Kosciuszko

Hike to the top of Mt. Kosciuszko or an advanced day hike across the Australian Main Range, there’s something for every age and ability to enjoy.

With tons of glacial lakes, unique flora and fauna and mountains as far as the eye can see, it’s a must do whilst visiting Thredbo throughout summer.

2. Thredbo mountain biking

Thredbo Mountain Bike Park is Australia’s premier biking destination with the only summer long chairlift accessed gravity trails in the country.

This summer, the MTB Park will continue to expand with new trail updates, progressive skills parks & exciting lessons & clinics for all ages.

The mix of trails feature something for first timers, right through to the more extreme.

3. Get a birds-eye view of Kosciuszko

The Kosciuszko Express ride takes 15 minutes one way and rises 560 vertical metres, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains of the Kosciuszko National Park and the stunning Thredbo Valley.

4. Visit Thredbo Leisure Centre

Thredbo Leisure Centre, located just a 5 minute walk from Thredbo Village Square and Friday Flat.  Gym, pool, waterslide  and sports hall and squash court.

5. Trout fishing the Thredbo River

Thredbo River is home to some of the wildest trout in Australia.

Enjoy the clarity and peace Thredbo offers as you cast a line and fish amongst the beauty of the Snowy Mountains.

The fly fishing season on the Thredbo River and its tributaries are open from the October long weekend until the June long weekend.

The House of Ullr

We are a boutique ski lodge in the heart of Thredbo village.

House of Ullr is widely acknowledged as the Nordical Heart of Thredbo. Our lodge offers an incredible position within Thredbo Village and is only metres away from the Valley Terminal and the mountain’s multiple chairlifts. Our location enables you to easily experience all that Thredbo has to offer as well as some of Australia’s most breathtaking views.

House of Ullr offers a variety of accommodation options to suit singles, couples, groups of friends and families. Our spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom rooms all have ensuite bathrooms and a range of modern conveniences.  Many of our rooms feature uninterrupted Mountain Views. All of our guests have access to a secure ski/drying room and laundry facilities.

House of Ullr is also home to our very own Mexican Restaurant. The Mad Mexican is open for both breakfast and dinner, serving delicious food all year round. Our newly renovated, spacious bar and social area is the perfect Aprèsski spot.

Our location couldn’t be more convenient. We are only 300 metres from Merrits Double Chair and Snowgums Ski Lift, and a 5-10 minute stroll (200 metres) to Kosciuszko Express Quad Chairlift which provides access to ski runs and features panoramic mountain views year-round. For beginners, we are 700 metres (10 minute walk) from Friday Flats.

For guests who prefer the convenience of the free shuttle bus that operates throughout winter, it’s only 150 metres from us.

The Thredbo Village supermarket, chemist, newsagency and boutique shops are a 6 minute walk (approx 150 metres) from House of Ullr, Thredbo Leisure Centre and overnight carpark.
